Learn Free Microsoft Word Tutorial - Lesson 2

Hope you like my first blog post on free Microsoft Word Tutorial. Lets continue after previous tutorial.

First look at the picture below. Here you will see many icons. The icons are designed according to their functionality. If you look at the icon of Bold then you will see that the icon uses Bolds first letter and its quite thick from normal text B , also Italic icon is little bit angled in clock direction. If you look at the icon carefully then you will find easily what is the functionality of the specific icon.

Change Font – will give you option to change fonts

Change Font Size – will give you option to make the font larger or smaller

Bold – This will Bold or highlight your text.

Italic – this option will let you angle the text little bit in clock direction.

Underline – Make your text underlined

Strike through – Strike through line in between your letters.

Subscript – Write like this H₂O

Superscript – Write like this X².

Change case – Make your text Capital, Block letter.

Now if you want to save your document now then press Ctrl+S  or press the Save button.

Then you will get following window

Give file a name and press Save. More keyboards comments:

Ctrl+B = Bold

Ctrl+I = Italic

Ctrl +U= Underline

Some keyboard commands for Fonts

Ctrl+ [ or ]= Font size increase or decrease

Ctrl+`=’ = Subscript

Ctrl+Shift+`=’= Superscript

Learn Free Microsoft Word Tutorial - Lesson 1

Welcome Everyone. There is no doubt that Microsoft's Office Suite is really a complete package and by using package you will complete all the regular official tasks that you need to accomplish daily. Today we will talk about Microsoft Word which is an important software among the package. Many of you say that we know Microsoft Word or we know how to use it, then why are you starting this tutorial. In that case, I'll say that this tutorial is only for those newbie who are trying to learn Microsoft Word but dont get any proper or right guideline. Also, this tutorial will be helpful for those people who know the options of Microsoft word XP or 2003 and now want to move on Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010 or 2013. Furthermore, here will get some new tips and tricks in the tutorial which will be helpful for you. Beside this, this tutorial will guide you step by step, so that you are not lost. No more talk. Lets Start the tutorial....

First Run the Microsoft Word Program. Now you will see a screen like this

In the above picture you are watching Home Tab. These Home Tab or Home Menu's option are very important for learning microsoft word 2007(2010 or 2013). These tools are so essential that you will complete most of the tasks you need to done daily via this toolbar and that's why we will try to learn, how to use these tools.

Take a look at the following picture. There I've given the pictures of all the toolbars of the HOME TAB. Here the most essential tool is Font then Paragraph, Clipboard, Editing and Styles accordingly. Some of you may not be agreed with me.

I hope you know what font is and what it does. If you dont know what font is then read the following lines otherwise skip this para. Font consists of letter and different sorts of handwriting. For example, we can say that if you dont like handwritings of computer, then you can change it through one click - Just change the font. Please look at the following pictures and hope you will understand what font is.
